Celebrations at the Indian Consul

Sir CP Shrivastava was the guest of honour at the Republic Day celebrations at the Consul General's house and grounds in Killara, in Northern Sydney. The special flag of India unfurling ceremony was attended by many prominent Indians currently in Australia. Sir CP was heartily greeted by the Consul General Mr. Sujan R. Chinoy and by many other people there.
The national anthem was sung and a speech by the President of India was read aloud by Mr Chinoy. Sir CP enjoyed the outing and on his way back to Burwood requested that later in the day the music and celebrations for both India and Australian might continue in the evening.
