These are extracts from the book, Nadigrantha, written by Shantaram Athvale. The author provides information about several so-called Nadigranthas, which are great, ancient books on astrology, e.g. Bhrigu SamhitaSatya Nadi, Kak Nadi and others. In this particular extract the author refers to the scripture of Kak Nadi written by Kakayyar Bhujander who was a great astrologer and seeker and lived nearly 2000 years ago.

Mother EarthWhile Jupiter is in Pisces a great Yogi will incarnate on the Earth. By 1970 it will have become quite evident to many people that a new era will have started. Kaliyuga will end and Kritayuga will start. The axis of the Earth will depress and the Earth’s orbit will come closer and closer to the Sun.

Human life will undergo a complete revolution. A great Yogi will incarnate at this time. This Yogi will be the Incarnation of Parabrahma and will have all the divine powers. Until this time a yogi or devotee could achieve the bliss of Moksha and find the ultimate meaning of his life only by following the path of devotion, knowledge and Pantanjali Yoga. But he would have to go through severe penance in order to awaken the sleeping powers of various chakras of his body and finally enlighten the Kundalini Power.

By the new method of yoga devised by the great Yogi, human beings will be able to attain the joy of Moksha within one lifetime. It would no longer be necessary to sacrifice one’s body or to die in order to achieve Moksha. The Brahmananda which so far only great saints had been able to experience and then only by entering into the Samadhi state at the point of death, due to this new type of yoga could be achieved by ordinary human beings without entering Samadhi state while dying.

In the beginning it would be possible for one person to attain this Yoga and Moksha. However, after some time the whole human race with the help of this Yoga will be able to defeat itself. People won’t have to worry about food, shelter or clothing. While living ordinary lives people will achieve Yoga – Union with God. There will be no necessity for hospitals as there will be no diseases. In the beginning the great Yogi will be able to heal diseases with a mere touch. Old age with its destruction of the body will not exist and people will possess heavenly bodies.

The world will have to suffer the consequences of a third world war. This world war would end by interference of the Great Yogi. In the end all the nations of the world will come together with the feeling of oneness. They will agree on the destructiveness of war. There will be a great international conference in a big city of the world. Yogis will lead this conference rather than intellectuals or politicians. Then the world will recover from the aftermath of war. The whole of the humanity will understand the importance of prayer and all the nations will unite together.

Due to new scientific discoveries science and religions would become one. With the help of the science the existence of God and the Soul could be proved. The veil of ignorance and Maya would be drawn aside and Brahmananda, Moksha which could previously only be attained by yogis as a result of very hard work and severe penance, would become easily available to many human beings. In this new era every person would have his position in the system according to his individual qualities and merit. It will be possible to fulfill people’s needs and desires and so it will no longer be necessary to accumulate money. Without poverty and diseases society will be healthy and carefree.

After the Sahaja Yoga Realise Australia Tour in November 2006, we have continued with the regular Sahaja Yoga meetings at the Kelso Community Centre in Bathurst. Many young Aboriginal children come and play at the centre and often join in the sessions. We often adapt the program to suit the children, and hence the programs are very spontaneous.

Sahaja Yogis enjoy the Macquarie River in BathurstWe found out that a River Dreaming Festival is being organised for Bathurst, in November 2007, to unite all the cultures. It will involve the making of a Big Rainbow Serpent Lantern which will move down the banks of the Macquarie River at twilight. The Rainbow Serpent is the Kundalini in Aboriginal culture. The festival will consist of a parade of various cultural groups in Bathurst with their banners, supported by stalls and music.

Two banner-making workshops were organised at the Kelso Community Centre which is mainly for the Aboriginal people of Kelso. The workshops coincidentally were on the same day as our weekly Saturday program, and we were asked to join in the festivities by making a banner.

Madhavi and I proceeded to make a banner, not knowing what to create. We spontaneously began by tracing Madhavi’s shadow as she stood with her hands
outstretched in the sun. We then painted little Kundalinis on the palms. Above the head we painted a template of the River Dreaming Festival Logo. It represents the elements of fire and water and the river at Bathurst which the festival’s director said is a feminine energy.

Madhavi suggested that blue should be used for the body to represent the cooling down that occurs as the Kundalini rises and is felt over our palms, head and body. We used yellow and orange for the background to represent the heat and dryness of the drought. When asked what the banner meant, we said that if people cooled down from within then the earth would cool down, too, and bring rain. A week later the area had 45 mm of rain!

Many different people were there from a variety of cultures, including people from Malaysia and Ireland, white Australians and people of Aboriginal heritage, all creating their own banners. Madhavi and I could feel the connection among everyone there as we worked together in this united cause.

The Aboriginal children also joined in, making their own little banners or helping with ours. I could feel their Kundalinis were so cool. I observed the oneness of their culture while they all sat together and made little badges.

Sahaja Yoga comes to TareeOver the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, 9-11 June 2007, Sahaja Yogis from Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Wingham came together in a small rural village called Bobin to present a Sahaja Yoga program.

The initial idea had been to have a stall as part of the Taree Envirofest on the Saturday but that was cancelled due to the wet conditions. Instead, the group made an excursion to Ellenborough Falls, followed by a meditation program at the local radio station.

Sahaja Yoga at the radio stationOn Sunday, the planned public program was held at Bobin Hall. Music by Music of Joy and Sahaj Quawwal supported the program, and a presentation of traditional Indian Dance rounded off the evening.

Thirty people received their self-realisation, with several staying on to dance the evening away and share a meal. Many telephone calls have been received since then from people who couldn’t make it to the public program but who would like to come along to local public programs.

Many thanks are due to the local radio station for promoting the program and providing the hour on air.
