Getting to Balmoral

You can catch a train from Sydney Airport to Picton Station and we will arrange transport to Balmoral Village. Airport to Picton station trip duration is 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on time day and time of travel. Picton Station is located 25 minutes from Balmoral Village.

For pickups from Picton Station, please  make a booking via the Transport Booking form.

Driving Instructions FROM SYDNEY to Balmoral

• In your GPS or phone map app, enter the address “233 Railway Parade, Balmoral” or follow these directions
• Get onto the M5, Hume Highway (the main road between Sydney and Melbourne)
• Travel for approximately 50 minutes. You will see a Mobil service station on your left. This means you are getting close to the turn-off (i.e. 5-10 more minutes)
• Watch for the Colo Vale / Hill Top exit on the left hand side. Take this exit.
• At the top of the rise turn right. This takes you over the Hume Highway towards Colo Vale.
• After 1.6 km you will come to Colo Vale.
• Turn right (the first road on your right). This is called Wilson Drive.
• Travel along Wilson Drive through the villages of Hill Top, and Balmoral Village. Sometimes the name of the road changes but continue to follow it.
• Follow this road 12.1 kms till you see the large Balmoral Village sign. (If you see the Buxton Village sign or the Buxton Hall you have gone 4-5 kms too far, go back).
• Look for the Bus Stop and turn right just after the Bus Stop.
• Cross the railway line. You will notice the Fire Brigade on your left as you go across. Watch for a sign or some balloons.
• Turn left on to Railway Pde (Balmoral) & follow this road for 1km to our property.
• After a short distance the road becomes a dirt road.
• Pass 2 houses with green roofs on your right and then you will see a cottage (with a red roof) near the road and a large building (with a red roof) set in from the road. This is the campsite.
• There are 3 driveways into the property, turn into the first one on the right, which comes just after house Lot no. 250, which is one of the 2 houses you have just passed.
• This will take you into the parking and camping areas.
• Please park in a way which does not obstruct any of the access routes

• Do not take the Mittagong turn-off but continue on your way to Sydney.

Parking at Balmoral

Please respect our neighbours and drive slowly and quietly when approaching the property. Also, the Local government authority has advised parking is not permitted on Railway Parade (the road outside the property).
